How will the visit take place?

Cosimo known as the Elder, architect of the greatness of the Medici and of Florence, was born in Florence in 1389. He was given the nickname of Pater Patriae as a sign of gratitude, as the inscription on his tomb in the basilica of San Lorenzo says. He was the first Medici to understand the importance of art, going beyond its beauty. He understood the importance of what material would remain after his and his family's death, as told by his biographer, Vespasiano da Bisticci. The works commissioned by him still decorate Florence outside, and also inside the walls of the houses that once belonged to the Medici. During our visit we will get to know Cosimo better, architect of the power and importance of
Florence but we will also see the difficulties it encountered in making them. We will also see Cosimo, a lover of arts and philosophy, visiting the building that he had his trusted architect, Michelozzo Michelozzi build, where one of his greatest achievements is represented. The famous cavalcade of the Magi which represents the arrival in Florence of the Council that should have taken place in Ferrara.

How much does it cost and what does it include?

The cost of the visit is € 120 in total, not per person and includes in addition to the guide service also the earphones needed inside the museum of Palazzo Medici. The entrance ticket to the museum is not included. The maximum number of participants allowed is 8 people.
